Diverse Organizational Adoption of Institutions in the Field of Corporate Social Responsibility

Abstract In the current literature, institutional adoption of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) governance standards is mainly understood in a binary sense (adoption versus no adoption), and existing research has hitherto focused on inducements as well barriers related organizational change. However, little known about often invisible internal patterns relating to entrepreneurship field CSR. At same time, additional information these processes relevant order systematically assess outcomes differentiate between substantive symbolic implementation. this paper, we contribute comparative intraorganizational differentiation CSR, distinguish broad narrow across different management functions institutions similar type. Our study based quantitative survey among members United Nations Global Compact Network Germany, qualitative interviews.
